Unlocking Dell Inspiron 640M

I really need help on this issue. I recently purchase a new Dell Inspiron 640M Laptop from one of my friend. Now, the laptop is locked with a HDD or BIOS password and I am unable to login. I tried many ways like using old Latitude.exe which maybe only works with Latitude laptops and accept only 5 digits Tag Number.

I will highly appreciate if someone let me know the right and effective procedure to unlock the password like any utility or shorting the pin. I call Dell and even email them on the same issue but still I have no solution. I don’t think that it is going to boot from any CD or USB Drive because after the POST screen it stuck on the Password Window and even it is not letting me to go into the BIOS.

I will very much thankful for any good and quickest reply.

You could try this

or find a service manual and reset the BIOS with the jumper or just take out the motherboard battery for awhile and then replacing it.
