Update.exe

My neighbors computer everytime it tries to update and when it starts to install the update is closes and the send error report comes up saying "That update.exe has stopped responding send error report or w/e" I'm guessing that the update.exe is corrupted. But I'm not sure and if so is the only way to fix is to reinstall windows?

try this go on start/run/ and type in "sfc scannow" This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem. let me know if that fixes the problem
