Hello kunjikaly and welcome to Techspot.

While BIOS flashing can be done with CD ROMs on some newer motherboards, this is not recommended. This is because BIOS updating works at the core level of computing functions.

Taken from here by Tedster.

You can do this with a CD rom, however because BIOS works at the 8088 architecture level, sometimes it may not read the CD rom or recognize it. It would be far better to get yourself a real floppy drive (not a USB type). You will save yourself some headaches. Read the guide in the guides forum that Jase referred to.

You shouldn't really update your bios unless you have a problem.

It is a long process and if you rush you could end up forking out for a new motherboard.

It is Just easy through Asus

Friends,

It is so Simple, i have updated my bios several time using Asus update,

1). download the latest Bios File on to the desktop or usb drive.

2). Open asus update and select the option update from file.(From the Chipset support DVD)

3). Click next & manually select the file from desktop.

4). Then click Flash on the panel wait till the process to complete.

5). restart on prompt.

Thats it, takes only 3 minutes
