I want to pull the 820 processor from the 945 GNT board and use it in a lower end computer for someone. Would like to upgrade to something in the 940 to 960 range depending on what prices I can get. My understanding is that the 9** seies run a little cooler. Other than that I have no earthly purpose for the upgrade. Is there anything I should know? I have reviewed the BIOS upgrades and Intel pretty much takes the stance that upgrading BIOS in the absence of any problems is probably unwarranted. I reviewed the BIOS upgrades available and see nothing relating to processor upgrades.
