Upgrade windows98se

This pc has win98se,pIII, 128k and i would like to know if is possible to upgrade the pc to win XP and what procedure should I follow without missing my files.

U should have a separate partition before installing XP if u wanna keep Win98. I would recommend getting more RAM before u do this. XP will be sluggish on 128MB. 256MB should be fine. Insert the XP cd and choose a clean install if u wanna install XP from scratch(u will lose ur My documents folder depending whether ur installing XP over 98(i.e. in the same folder as the previous installation of 98) or upgrade if u want ur settings of Windows 98 to be transferred to XP(including My Documents folder)
 
I disagree. XP will run terrible with less than 512mb of memory. It will page file all the time.
 
Tedster that is only if there are too many programs running. I've installed XP on a system with 128MB of RAM and a PII and it ran fine.
