purchase a new laptop. sounds like you have a dinosaur on your hands...
laptop cases are not standard such as at or atx computer cases. the chances of overhauling a laptop is very slim.. at most you may be able to put in a different processor, maybe another stick of ram. but thats about the max....consult the manufacturer of the laptops website for specs and possible upgrades..
