On a Toshiba laptop (Satellite 6100) is installed a GeForce4 420 Go GPU. When one tries to play video on an external monitor, he is met with misery and woe. For behold, on his external monitor he sees but a black box where the video should be seen, while his audio plays withoud fail. This, my friends, is the trajic story of the owner of this Toshiba Satellite 6100.
Okay, now that that's out of my system, let's get down to it: Video won't play on the external monitor. We downloaded the latest drivers we could find. (v40.???) while the Toshiba support site has v21.??? (too lazy to go find out the exact numbers)
Any ideas? If you need more information, let me know.
