USB 2.0 Onboard crapped out - all drivers installed and updated

title says it all. only thing not there is that it is enabled in the BIOs and i was using it not even a week ago with windows server 2003 (working on successfully deploying VPNs and the such).

Im running WinXP pro (un-activated, no problems in the past w/same cd) on a GA-7N400-L board. i read the manual to confirm that it has some usb 2.0 ports, it does.
 
USB 2.0 Transfer problem

hi!
i have a 80gb external hdisk with usb 2.0 port..
i always need to transfer from various places to my hdisk and then onto my pc at home..
the problem is that it takes eternity to completely to transfer my data (approx 2 gigs) even though :-
1. i have original 865gbf intel with usb 2.0 port motherboard
2. ihave it enablked it usb 2.0 feature in BIOS
3. i have a usb 2.0 ;port on my external hdisk
i m running windows xp (dont know which version)
it gives a message '' HISPEED USB PLUGGED INTO NON HIGH SPEED PORT ''..
COULD U PLZ HELP ME....
DO I NEED TO USE USB WIRES WRITTEN HISPEED ON IT...
