USB Double click not working!

Hi to all! I bought a new Dell Inspiron 6400. All going well, but when I double click on the USB STORAGE DEVICE directly(from My computer menu) it is not opening. But everytime I plug in my USB Storage device, the laptop recognises with no problem. It is the same problem with my PCs too. They are running Windows XP. On 'My Computer' if I right click on the USB storage device and click on 'Open' option it works with no issues.

Please help me.

you may need to download drivers for it. Not all USB drives have built in drivers on the ROM.
