Just curious. If I get a USB hub and install like 4 external hdd's will it work?

Also can HDD's have double letters , or it sticks to the 26 letter alphabet?

USB hubs are generaly USB 1 compliant so the speed would horrible. It could work but wouldn't be worth the trouble.
