Vampire Bloodlines Crashes in First Cut Scene

Hello --

I'm having quite a problem getting Bloodlines to run. The first issue I encountered had to do with with my graphics resolution and refresh rate. I had to change it to 800x600 with a refresh rate of 60 (for my monitor and as an override in Directx). Those changes let me at least start the game but it soon crashes during the first cut scene. I have applied patch 3.3.

My PC should have enough horsepower to run the game without any problems:

Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 2 (build 2600)

3.20 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
16 kilobyte primary memory cache
2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache

Board: 915G-ICH6
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 6.00 PG 04/22/2005

2048 Megabytes Installed Memory

NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT [Display adapter]
Default Monitor

Creative SB X-Fi

This is the crash description found in my 'Bloodlines' folder:

This kind of error logs would be much easier to read if people would just attach the file itself instead of copying & pasting it to the message box.
