Very Slow Log-on (hangs for 1-2mins)

  1. Hi guys,
I've got a new laptop and it was logging on normally and pretty reasonable speed until 2 days ago. When it reaches the "loading you personal settings..." screen on XP logon, it hangs for 1-2mins. It's not happened before and I realised that when I switched off the wireless connection (as in disable it from Network Connections), then the log-on was normal again. Any ideas guys???
I would like to be able to connect to my wireless connection automatically when I log on to my computer as used to be able to do this perfectly.

Thanks SO much guys, any help appreciated.

Oh I forgot to add that the 2 little computer icons that show the wireless and LAN status in the system tray take a long time to start up sometimes too. So I'm sure it's a network problem thats slowing the log-on.
BTW, I recently set up a VPN client and Ad-hoc connection (which didn't work....hehee~)
