I just bought a brand new Dell Dimension 3100 and it comes with a XPHome edition OS. I upgraded to Windows 2000Pro and then have tried to download all the respective drivers for the same.

The problem I have with Video driver is that after I installed the driver which I downloaded from dell.com, it did change the view and resolution for the screen. I am set at 768x1024 at 32-bit true color settings. But still I am not seeing the crispness of colors. Especially when I am looking at the desktop icons and quicklaunch icons. Also when I started using photoshop software its showing yellow color background where I have white background selected. Its really screwed up. I called dell and they said that they do not support the win2000 on this computer because the company supplied it with winxp-home edition. I am screwed. PLEASE HELP.

Thanks in advance.

Hello and Welcome to Techspot! :) :)

Are you using the onboard video, or do you have another card? What brand and model is your video card?
