I am looking for a PCI-E video card for my AMD 3700+ system I am building and I see the term GDDR2 in the description. I know that the new memory is DDR2 204 pin vs 184 pin ddr.
My question is-Will putting a v-card with the GDDR2 memory in a MOBO that has the old 184 pin DDR memory cause a hardware conflict?

Just make sure the motherboard supports PCI-E. As long as it does, any PCI-E video card will work in that slot.

Yea, the type of memory on the card doesn't matter except that higher numbers (GDDR3 and GDDR4) run faster than DDR and DDR2.
