Virutal memory error.

ive had this problem twice now im running a good pc with duo core 2 2.14 ghz 3 gig ram and i get this error and my pc goes crazy so i adjusted the page file so the pc can manage it by it self so far nothing happend but any other suggestions?i usally have 31 backround task runnung.
 
sorry let me post my system specs..

core 2 duo 2.14 ghz

3 gig ram..

3 hard drives 250 gigs each

nvidia 6600 sli

dvdrw combo drive

dvd drive

550 watt psu.

Doesn't work every time, but usually when their recommendations don't work, the optical drive is beyond repair, and must be replaced.
 
also i suggest that u cut down your services to only those that are necessary, iv cut mine down to 26, inclusive of 3d apps, virus protector, firewall and spyware blocker, defrag and so forth and so forth. a good place 2 check out for a start into stopping useless xp services is...

just be careful as to what you disable, if your not sure.... don't touch it!

use mike lin's start up editor or crapcleaner tools to stop programs from autoloading at boot.
 
well i set the windows to manage its virtual memory lets see if that work i know its not my pc since its pretty much high end and no memory problems.and start up its just its reg programs.
