Vista and Virus Software

I am running Vista Business Edition on my PC and installed Kaspersky Internet Suite as my virus and firewall protection. I was having trouble with Kaspersky because for some reason when I installed it I would have trouble visiting websites (for example, if i tried to go to www.pnc.com, it would work but if i changed it to pnc.com it would). So I uninstalled Kaspersky and installed Avast 4.7, but its causing different problems. The gadgets don't work anymore, and when I try to go to gmail it won't let me switch to standard view. Some other websites are giving me difficulty following links as well. does anyone have any ideas what could be happening?

Maybe you should give AVG free a try and see if that helps. Obviously, you`ll need to uninstall Avast first.

I figured it out, my router wasn't fully compatible with Vista, I bought a new router and everything is A Ok!
