volume going up and down

i have a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 zs sound card, and lately when im listening to music (it happens with any program) the volume goes up and down without me doing anything, if i restore to default for my sound card it would work for a few mins but not for long.

If I was you I would try:

Uninstalling the card in Device Manager(Right click the card in Device Manager and click uninstall)

Device Manager = Start, Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance, System, Hardware Tab. (Or just press the start button on the keyboard + the Pause/break button and hardware tab)

Restart the computer and let plug n play detect and install it again.



If that doesnt work I would unplug the card and plug it back in.

Maybe test the card in another computer( but who has another computer lying around like I do!)
