I would guess you have a trojan-virus of somesort
One thing to try open taskmanager choose performance and leave open.
open explorer and check the cpu usuage, when explorer opens what ever virus is attacking it that executable cpu usuage will jump to 90% or so.
Microsoft have a good antispyware beta available free from there site.
It might not get rid of it but will find the virus.
    but i could be wrong.........

Your Winodws may be infected by virus or faulty ram. Attach the following files at any webspace. I will study your log and dumps.
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\drwtsn32.log
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\user.dmp
