Want to change ram in Acer Aspire 5570z

Alright.. My buddy wants to upgrade the ram in his notebook its a acer aspire 5570z it currently has one gig of ram . I was wondering exactly if anyone could tell me what ram it takes and he was gonna order it off a new egg. he was gonna get 2gb of ram and take out the two 512 that are in.... if anyone can help Appreciate it Much!

The Acer Aspire 5570 will accept either DDR2 PC4200 or PC5300. For maximum speed, you want to have all modules at PC5300. It will take 2 GB of memory in each of the two slots. The best situation is to have matched sets of memory with the same brand and size in each slot. Several vendors will sell the memory in matched sets of two modules.
For best results, do not use Value Ram, or other low priced memory. Get the best memory modules for latency and timings... usually published on the website of the memory maker.
