WD offers extended warranty, at a price

  1. Inside the retail boxes Western Digital says you can have a three year warranty on your hard drive, all for the low low price of $19.95.

    The drives are exactly the same ones that used to have three years warranty on them before WD, Seagate and Maxtor decided their drives weren't as reliable as they'd earlier expected.
