Nary has a month passed without hearing about a new poll or study preaching the decline of the PC. The chatter is not without merit, however, as there’s plenty of evidence to validate the trend. Smartphones, tablets and streaming media boxes are replacing the traditional computer for millions, but is that the case with you?

With this week’s open forum, we’re curious as to how many computers you own / use on a regular basis. Has the mobile revolution had an impact on your PC ownership and usage compared to just a few years ago? Let us know in the comments section below.

Three (all Sandy Bridge generation):
  1. Main Desktop (i7-2600K)
  2. Second Desktop (Pentium G620)
  3. Notebook (HP Elitebook 8460P / i5-2520M)

In my house I have 2 servers, 4 desktops, 4 laptops, 2 Raspberry Pis, 5 smartphones (4 android and 1 iPhone) and 3 tablets (2 android and 1 iPad).

Three machines I use personally: one desktop, one laptop and my office's desktop. I'm waiting to receive a fourth, a Surface 3 for carrying around when needed (and for taking notes/drawing).

1 Server, 2 Desktops, 2 Laptops, 6 Test rigs, 3 HTPCs and 1 Family PC.

Then enough bits to make more high-end gaming systems than I have friends which makes my LANs a little sad.

2 running desktops, with enough parts to build a third, plus one running laptop and two dead ones. I also have a tablet and a smartphone, but for as long as I play PC games, I will have a desktop computer.

1 gaming computer with an i7 running win7
1 quad core (q400 or something cant remember) used by my wife for photo editing running win 7
1core 2 @2.8ghz for media pc still running xp pro
1 quad core sitting in the garage doing nothing much at all win7 on that
1old laptop that still works fine running win xp
plus parts lying around every where.

1 main desktop (i7-2600)
1 laptop converted to be permanently hooked up to one TV (smartest TV ever)
1 laptop for work
1 macbook pro for designing
1 macbook air for travel
Got 2 ipads as well.

Five working computers:
1. one i3-530 desktop (windows 10 pro build 1511)
2. one i5-3570k desktop (windows 8.1 pro wmc)
3. one Pentium g630 desktop (windows 10 pro build 1511)
4. one Pentium g2030 desktop (windows 10 pro build 1511; OS free from windows insider program)
(1-4 shares two 20" 1600x900 led monitors)
5. one intel core 2 duo 1.6ghz laptop (windows vista 32bit dual boot with windows 7 home premium 64bit)

1 main PC - core i7, 2 SSDs , 12GB RAM 3 channel, 8 HHDs, GTX770 etc
1 work PC
1 old salvage parts PC for my parents which they use to check e-mail
1 server
1 nettop PC
3 laptops
2 android tablets

4 computers.

1 intel NUC with i3-3217Y used only for streaming purposes - conected to our tv.

2 HP laptops with Intel i5-5200u for everyday use (my wife's and my own)

1 Asus laptop with i7-2670QM used for videoediting and encoding/transcoding.

Desktops: Two. Specs on profile page and a i5 760, GTX580 etc. Mine and my wife's
Laptops: Two. Both Core i5's and both are nothing but white elephants.
Tablets: One. Android Asus Nexus, used for about two weeks then forgotten about.
Smartphones: About 5 or 6... I think. All are Samsung except for a sole Blackberry.
I also have a complete, 'working' 1983 Apple Mac packed in a box and stored safely away in the garage. I think it's worth quite a bit that's I haven't chucked it away yet. (it was in working condition when I stored it away in 1990).
