what Graphics card should i buy for 300$

i need advice for what card to buy and my limit is 300$
for now i am considering the geforce 8800 GTS 320 Mb card.
is there anything better in the same price range?

It's about on par, but it sucks a lot of power. It'd a good card though, but the HD2900 Pro is the exact same card with lower clock speeds and lesser memory. So you could buy it and then overclock it to XT speeds. The 1GB of memory will only help at very high resolutions like 1920x1200 and above. The HD2900 Pro will do just fine IMO but if you're going to spend that much on an HD2900XT, you'd be better off finding a good deal for an 8800GTX since it sucks less power and delivers a little better performance as well.

Yeah if you change your mind and are willing to spend enough for the 2900XT then I'd purchase a 8800GTX instead. It is a slightly faster card.
