what is the best videocard out right now for $250?

Hi, Im building my new system, and wondering what the best videocard out right now for $250? im hopeing for nvidia, but ati is fine. please help me soon because i dont want to buy the wrong one. oh and also, its going to be used for gameing and videoediting. (athlon 64 x2 4600+, 2gb ram, 10,000 rpm hard drive, and a banging _________ videocard! that space is for you to fill! lol) thanks a lot! -Nick
