I'm buying a gaming computer in the next few days and i need to know how much of a power suppply i need. here are the specs for the computer.

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6700
(Quad-Core Supports) EVGA nForce 680i SLI Chipset
2 Gigs of corsair-value memory (isit worth getting muskin or a heat spreader?)
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB
320 GB hard drive @ 7200 RPM

If you could give me an idea of how many watts i need that would be great. thanks!

Well looks like your an SLI person/owner.

I am in the process of building by SLI PC, people are telling me that I will be fine with a 700W PSU, I think u will be as well. If anything dont buy 1000W PSU, anything between 700W- and below 1000W I think u will be fine!

a 600w will do, but you can check Here . Its a pretty good PSU gauge. Remember more is better and if you need 453w you will only use 453w not 1000w or 800w. Oh and go modular if your goin past 600w. the bigger the psu the more cables there are. modular is nice to reduce the clutter.
