Whats better 940 or am2

ok, so i am looking to build in a new computer this christmas, i think its time to upgrade my old 939.

I am loyal to amd, dont ask why, however i dont know which socket is better for gaming the 940 or the am2. If possible can you recommend a good, decently priced motherboard also.

What's your price range, I say AM2 but 940's are good just a bit more pricey.

120 bucks is my limit for a motherboard, i saw the ASUS M2N-E SLI (http://www.mwave.com/mwave/skusearch.hmx?&scriteria=BA23977) it looks pretty good for the price. would you recommend it?

940's don't really exist anymore dudes. AM2 is the way to go. I'd suggest any X2 series starting at 4800 or higher. That's a good mobo. Buy DDR2-800 too.
