ok i got a Intel core 2 duo running at 1333MHZ FSB

whats better.

1. x4 RAM sticks : DUAL CHANNEL, 1GB 667MHZ each ram stick (total 1334mhz x2 sticks)

OR

2. x4 RAM sticks: 1GB each at 1333MHZs.

i dont really know.. but the single sticks at 1333mhz i think are better.. if they are, how much faster are they over dual channel? (opt 1)

EDIT: no i cant find a RAM guide thread or any thread that mentions something like this :)

Without knowing what mobo you have and what windows version you are using it's almost impossible to answer your question.

id figure that speech would go the same for most OS,CPUS?

how about.. Windows XP

and.. a gigabyte ultra durable 2 motherboard, this board supports dual/quad upto 1333 mhz FSB, and upto 1600mhz RAM.

i am also looking for some example RAMS on what to buy.

CPU : intel Quad Q6600 (2.4ghz) (1066MHZ)

MOBO: Gigabyte ultra durable 2 GA-P35-DQ6
FSB, 800/1066/1333
Memory, Dual channel, DDR2 667/800/1066

what do you guys suggest for RAM? links on where to buy please :)

sorry, this was posted by a friend on my pc, please ignore this thread and delete it, i have fixed his problem fully.

no need to apologize. Ensure you read all the faqs and guides before posting. Motherboards accept only certain types of ram. Only you can determine what you need by RTFM or looking at the board itself.
