When I click something to open it, it always takes a while to open

Sup guys, I was wondering why when I clicked to open something it always takes a long time to open....im on a 2.8 gig, 1 gig of ram....pc I have ran virus scan, spyware scan, and also defrag....so any ideas?

There could be any number of reasons.

Start by looking in your task manager. Press the ctrl/alt/delete keys together. Click on the processes tab and look to see if anything is taking large amounts of your cpu cycles.

It isn't the task manager

well it isn't the task manager...what are some other things that could be causing this?

Malware/viruses etc, or an antivirus programme such as Symantec/norton, that is bogging down your system.

Open a new thread in the security and the web forum and post a HJT log.
