hey guys

Im looking at the prices of s939 AMD's drop and drop and drop some more but i dont know when to buy, im looking at the 4800+, will this chip drop in price some more or is it at its all time low now.

any suggestions are apprecated as always

CPUs get cheaper with time, never more expensive

Usually the best price-performance combination is the product two or three notches below the "best". So the 4800 would be a "sensible" buy when 5000 and 5200? are available. If you can't wait that long, at least wait until 5000 has been let loose.

i was resding over on tomshardware fourms that the cpus will get more expensive as they become more rare, like what happioned with the socket a prossors

considering that the 4800+ was $600+ about a month and a half ago..i would just go with that

Once the 4800 is a rarity, you are already better off with any AM2 mobo and the cheapest AM2 CPU anyway
