Okay we want to force out an active desktop item and I'm just looking into it, but cant seem to find where all settings for active desktop are stored like what items are enabled and positions, etc.

Looked in registry and profile. In profile I found 'Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop.htt' which is just a generated html file to include wallpaper and active desktop item.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

I`m not sure I understand what it is you`re trying to do exactly.

Can you tell us what it is you`re trying to disable?

In the meantime take a look HERE it might help.
