anybody know how to remedy this? well.. the details would be that i don't have the task manager and some other commands are disabled as well.. for defense i have Windows Live One Care. any help would be greatly apprechiated.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

How would i go about disabling real time monitoring programs if i don't have the common ones? i have Windows Live OneCare

I`ve not used Windows one care live, but I assume there will be an option to disable the antispyware component.

If not, just complete the instructions with one care running.

i really hate to do this, but can we finish this another day? or will the worm be that much worse? i have to go to work soon. i can stay if necessary.
