Windows ME crashing

I have a Tiny pc that is repeatedly crashing, I have checked out the hardware and can find no problem with memory, hard drive etc. The owner has reloaded windows several times from the recovery disc to have it start crashing again within one week.
I reloaded from his recovery disc after reformatting the drive and again he is having crashing/freezing problems after a couple of weeks. He has ran a virus scan and ad-aware and can find no problems.
I have suggested we reload the software without using his recovery disc as I suspect there may be an error with his disc.
Has anyone else any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

Could be heat related. Are the cooling fans working? Are the heatsinks or power supply clogged with dust? Have you tried updated system drivers?

Windows ME likes to crash. A lot. A hell of a lot. Try a different OS, see if that fixes the problem.

We have tried Win 98SE and still had the same problems.

I tend to side with Vegasgmc. Overheating OR a failing powersupply.
