I am having a problem burning a used recordable CD with Windows Media Player 10. When I try to erase the CD before reusing it, the erase icon is not available and the Player does not recoginze the CD. All the items on the CD have wma ext.
Any tips ?!

Ok, the only other thing that I can think of is right-click the drive in my computer, go into properties, recording, and make sure the box is checked for enable this device for cd recording.

Thanks Kpo6969 for trying to help me out. I have no problem burning blank cds, my problem is reburning a recordable cd. The player does not recognize it and the erase button is not available.

Do you have any other burning software on your computer? ie: Roxio, Nero?
You could have a conflict if you have 2 packet writing programs. Or you could try formatting the CD if you can.
