windows wont boot

Can some one help me, I just did a clean reinstall of xp, I installed the drivers and some apps. Everything was fine, I then installed service pack 2 and the pc gets stuck at the xp loading screen and loads indefinately. I tried reebooting and I tried to load safe mode it wont even do that. Ive never encoutered a problem like this before.

Install your OS disc and run the repair installation option.

You can try to boot to XP cd and run a repair it will roll you back out of SP 2 then check the media or file for Ser pk 2 it may be Bad\corrupt. Try updating to 2 using a different source.

Even windows Update can install online or download a new file freom there.
