Windows XP Installed twice!!

Hi,any help is gratefully received. I had a Hookey version of XP & decided to install a genuine version, everything works fine, but rather than overwriting the original OS I now have 2 versions loaded on Drive C.
I have reset the BOOT INI to boot off the new version, what I would like to do is remove the 1st OS without having to format C.
I have read many threads offering numerous solutions to modify Boot etc, but non actually explain how to "uninstall" the first system.
Any ideas???
Cheers
Paul

you should have deleted the existing partition, created a new one, and then formated and installed windows. and for trouble free future that is still your best option.

if you don't want to reformat /delete existing system
and start fresh
do you remember the name of the folder was it windows or winxp
muti installs make new names if you know the name of the bad install just delete that folder
good luck delete wrong one and poof may as well reinstall
check intall date on docs and admin file delete those to
