Windows XP media Center not starting properly

My Windows XP Media Center isn't starting properly.

It comes up with a message saying it can't start Windows and gives me some options:

Safe Mode
Safe mode with networking
Last known working configurations
Open Windows normally

What should I pick, and does anyone have any ideas what is wrong and how I can fix it?

Do I need to reinstall Windows, and if so how do I go about this and will I lose anything?

Thanks

Try to select Last Known working Configuration. This will boot to a config windows saved the last time it got into windows. If that does not work, you might want to get a hold of a boot disk (Go to any windows XP station and format a floppy with the box "Create MS DOS Startup Disk" checked. Once you reach the command prompt (C:\) type CHKDSK to run Check Disk. That should solve your problem.
