Windows XP safemode/Normal startup

Ok i have a computer with windows xp SP2
that will start up in safemode... but will not start up in Normal mode
I have tryed fixing the Master boot record, hard drive is good i have tested it... done a house call with trend micro found nothing.. Spybot.. Adaware...
Nothing.... Any ideas?

Ok does anyone know how to find the motherboard # off an Amptron motherboard so i can try a chipset upgrade..... all other drivers are fine...

(ps... please dont tell me i am going to have to pull out the WHOLE motherboard)
