Wireless connection problem

Hi all

I have a wireless connection set up on my laptop. Whenit searches for the woreless network the laptop finds the network and connects. I get the message telling me the signal is excellent.

However when I try to open the internet I get the network connection error.

Any ideas?

When I connect using an ethernet cable to my router, there is no connection problems and the net opens without problem.

I'm using Dell Latitude D610, a Belkin G+ Mimo router and an Intel Pro wireless 2200BG card.

Thanks
Owen

the router needs to be config'd for the wireless access.
Your wired config is fine, so only access the wireless portion.
Set a new SSID to anything other that the default.
Enable the wireless (which sounds like it is already)
Disable encryption (for now)
Set a channel number, say #3
Disable remote configuration management
(ie only your wired system will be allowed to make router changes)
save the configuration

Also set a new ADMIN password and save again.

Your wireless should then see YOUR NEW SSID; click connect

If you'r running correctly at this point, you can then go back to enable encryption :)
