Wireless Trouble

Hello all, as you may discover from my user name, i am not the 'best' with computers...

What is happening: - I have been able to connect to the preferred network using windows zero configuration, yet i cannot access the internet. . i believe this is because i am not receiving any packets, yet sending many...!

could anyone help me in the right direction, i don't know where to start ?!

Do you have a wireless router?
Do you have a laptop?
Do you have a desktop?
Do you have modem?

Yes, i have a wireless router - belkin - and a desktop computer...

have you got any pc attached to the router?
ie one pc hard wired? can you get on the internet through another pc?

i am guessing from the limited information here that this is a firewall issue.
take down the firewall for a moment to see if you can get it connected. If so you will need to configure your firewall but dont leave it off
