I have an asus a8v deluxe w/dual channel memory and 1gig (2x512) installed. I bought a 1gig stick and it never occurred to me that 2x512 and then 1x1gig wouldn't work; anyway i booted up and the vocal POST message said "system failed due to CPU overclocking", (??) so i pulled out the new stick and tried again. it booted but 3 seconds into windows the whole thing completely froze. over the next 4 or 5 reboots it either froze or artifacted the whole screen or both. I never touched the processor or anything else and i don't do any overclocking. Help! I can only boot into safe now...
