x800xl or 6800gt videocard choice

i am debating on which of these cards i should get. any suggestions? i am doing a total rebuild, new cpu (amd64 3200), new mobo (dfi lanparty nf4-d), new eveything.

i play a lot of fps. i don't need max settings but i would like them to play fast and look nice.

I'd go for a x800xl of the two, it's cheaper and does similarly or better than a 6800gt.
