XP "file summary box"?

or whatever it's called..
the little yellow box that opens where the mouse pointer is stopped and gives a brief description..
can it be turned off or otherwise modified in it's operation, ie only come in with right click, et cetera?

You can turn it off under Folder Options in Explorer. It's called "show popup information" or something like that. It's at the bottom of the list.
