XP Updates Downloaded, now can't open stuff!

Kept bugging me to install updates, finally allowed it.

Now I can't open things on UTube, streetfire, etc.

Checked thru all the setting I know about in Tools
and in Internet Connections in control panel, can't
see anything to change. (Firefox, latest version)

Do you get any errors when you try to open these pages?

It is possible that flash player has been corrupted on your system, visit http://www.adobe.com and click on the "Get FlashPlayer" button to install the latest version.

Tried that, no different.

No errors, the page will load but nothing about
the video clip will show.

I noticed on i.e. U-Tube that it won't open with
Media Player either.

But WHY even the Yellow Pages!?

That certainly is strange :/ Can you upload a couple of screen shots so I can see exactly what is or isn't happening?

How do I do that?

When I save a page or frame, it saves as an htm file, which won't upload to here.

when you are at the page with problems press Alt and Prt sc, this copies the current active window to your clipboard. Open Paint and press Ctrl and V, this will paste the image into paint. You can then save that as a JPEG file and attach it to your post. if you could do this for both utube and yellow pages that would be great

HA! Maybe got it figured out.

I just read that running 2 firewalls can interfere with each other.

I've got the AVG Security Suite (with firewall) and the Sunbelt Kerio firewall.
Just switched from Zone Alarm to Kerio when I was going thru the "how to clean
your computer" thing - had no problems with ZA plus AVG. Trouble is I paid for
Kerio, but maybe I'll go back to ZA anyway.

Tried turning Kerio off and YP opened!

Just previously, I'd been fiddling around and somehow got UTube to open
too. Not sure how tho.

Thanks for your trouble - at least I learned how to post a screenshot!

I've always run at least 2 firewalls b-4 without problems, I'll go into Kerio
and see if there's some setting or other that maybe I can change.

Hi,

Running two firewalls on your system is highly unrecommended.
This is because it will result in conflicts, plus a serious hog of your system resources, etc.
Do uninstall one.

Should you have any further problems, please post in this thread.
