Phishing is becoming a bigger and bigger problem over time. Firefox 2.0 plans to incorporate anti-phishing, many e-mail servers are learning how to identify phishing mails, but likely there is still a lot of room for improvement. CipherTrust has released a free toolbar for Outlook and Lotus Notes designed precisely to counter phishing scams in e-mails, set to identify and flag potential scams and phishing attacks. This is a step in the right direction, depending on how accurate and up to date the toolbar remains. While common sense plays a big role in getting scammed, many people don't know how to identify a scam when they see it, and phishers are constantly looking for ways to lure even more. Try it out if you want.
