After Microsoft's last Patch Tuesday earlier this week, users of ZoneAlarm often found themselves deprived of Internet Access. The DNS update resulted in security profiles for the software suite not functioning properly, and even the latest version of the product was affected. Check Point Software has now released an update that fixes this issue. The update was published today and is available now.
Several workarounds were possible, including removing the DNS update. Software firewalls which restrict outbound traffic unfortunately can have side effects like this. Other security suites weren't affected by the DNS update.
