Microsoft is set to launch a mobile phone syncing product called SkyBox at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. This according to Tom Warren at Neowin who, citing sources close to Microsoft, claims the new service will allow syncing of contacts, email, SMSs, calendar items and pictures into the cloud.

The service should compete with Apple's MobileMe, though unlike the latter, Microsoft is reportedly set to offer this out to non Windows Mobile devices - how exactly they intend to do this remains to be seen. In addition, the software giant will also apparently unveil an enterprise version of SkyBox called SkyLine along with its anticipated SkyMarket mobile marketplace, an App Store competitor. Last but not least, Microsoft is also expected to unveil its rumored Windows Mobile 6.5 interim operating system at the MWC.
