Dell is getting ready to launch its second Android tablet "within in the next few weeks," according to comments made by the company's Greater China President Amit Midha. The device in question features a 7-inch screen and will reportedly be joined by "a whole slew" of new products in the next six to twelve months, including 3-, 4- and 10-inch devices. Interestingly, while the 7-inch Dell tablet will run Android, Midha said that Dell would be using Windows on some of the other products.

Dell is also considering whether to use Google's Chrome operating system on its products. Either way, Dell's strategy is pretty clear: offer tablets with a range of different screen sizes and a variety of operating systems to ensure as few potential buyers as possible are left out. Although we've been unable to secure any solid details about Dell's forthcoming 7-incher, the slate is believed to be the "Looking Glass" model shown off recently, powered by Nvidia's Tegra 2 SoC.
