Asus PA329Q 32"
It’s a bit pricey but we love the ASUS PA329Q in almost all respects. Its flaws are few and its benefits as a professional design monitor for graphic artists and other professionals with similar needs are simply superb. Especially in color calibration, coverage and accuracy, this monitor is a match for much more expensive models.

For the price, professionals will not be disappointed when choosing the ASUS PA329Q. This monitor offers the performance hardware that is necessary to justify the price. With Adobe RGB and sRGB included, this is a great choice of monitor for many professionals. However, the addition of these brings a bit of a downside to the product for some. Not being able to adjust other settings when using the 2 presets can be a deciding factor for many. In a world of professionals, not being able to tweak or experiment with these presets can be a deciding factor when it comes to purchasing this monitor.

Despite its low contrast, the screen is bright without being glaring and it displays image colours with a fair simulation of 'natural' colours. It is usable with computers running the current 'flavours' of Windows and Mac operating systems and its fast response times and negligible input lag make it well suited for video editing and graphic design work. With some tweaking and regular calibration, it could be good for image editing.

Since the professional monitor market consists of discerning and advanced professionals, this niche does not leave a lot of room for error for the manufacturers. With that in mind, most of the monitors competing in this segment are either tied or have minor differences.

Our overall impressions of the PA329Q are certainly favorable and we would recommend it to users looking for a cheaper alternative to monitors at the top of the price range. It can be used reliably in its fixed sRGB and Adobe RGB modes and Asus adds value by including easy-to-use calibration software. We’d like to see more of the OSD’s features available in more picture modes and more extensive color meter support. Other than those complaints, this is a solidly-built and reliable professional’s tool.
