Motorola Moto G Power - 2024

While it comes with compromises, the Moto G Power (2024) is still hard to beat at under $300, primarily for its long lasting battery. We also like the unique vegan leather design and fast charging. But the dim display and lackluster cameras are strikes against this budget phone.

If you’re looking for a phone that just generally gives you a solid user experience with some nice goodies, then I highly recommend that you pick up the Moto G Power – 2024. It’s a fantastic phone for the price and a great phone in general.

With solid performance, a vibrant display, and extensive battery life, the 2024 Motorola Moto G Power 5G is an excellent phone for Android users on a budget.

At the end of the day, even with increased competition, the Moto G Power 5G (2024) is a great $300 phone. It represents one of the best phone values at any price that you can buy today.

I am nitpicking now. For under $300, the Moto G Power 5G captured totally adequate photos I was happy with over the several weeks I used it. (I have a lot of nice shots in the gallery above!) Most people will find it more than sufficient; just maybe bring a proper camera if you're trying to capture a special event.

The Moto G Power 5G 2024 is a surprising phone, offering many specs and features you'd expect for a $299 phone while adding more that you rarely see on a phone this cheap, like wireless charging and 30W wired charging. The vegan leather back is a nice touch, and we appreciate the inclusion of NFC. Unfortunately, there are still some performance issues holding the phone back, but that shouldn't ruin the overall experience.

Motorola may be a budget smartphone pioneer, but it's starting to struggle compared to the competition. While the Moto G Power (2024) has some good things going for it, it's not enough to make up for the poor display, mediocre performance, and the sheer amount of ads scattered through the OS.
