Samsung Galaxy S23+

I still think most people would be happier with the S23 Plus, though. Performance from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is very impressive, and I have a lot of faith in it holding up after years of OS upgrades. Google’s custom Tensor G2 processor is also highly capable, but it’s a bit more of a wild card. Samsung also promises one more OS upgrade than Google does, which is weird but also a point in favor of the S23 Plus.

The S23+ has the most mainstream appeal in Samsung's Galaxy phone lineup, with many of the same features as the S23 Ultra in a more comfortable size for a couple of hundred dollars less.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus isn't the S23 model everyone should buy. But for the right person, it's pretty tough to beat.

In my opinion, this phone should be short-listed by anyone looking out for a new phone. It's hard to not get swayed by the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but this one is a traditional, sensible flagship smartphone that delivers on all fronts.
