The Fire HD 10 Plus and the Productivity Bundle are just a token acknowledgment of the trend to use tablets for work. The Fire HD 10 Plus is not a good device for getting work done. It’s inexpensive, but you’ll most likely be able to get a lot more done with a Chromebook or Chrome OS tablet, such as the excellent Lenovo Chromebook Duet, for not much more money.

A great choice for an affordable entertainment tablet with the advantage of baked-in Alexa Skills. While this tablet can quickly become an Echo Show with the accessory dock, it's not quite as capable on the productivity front as its rivals - so stick to entertainment which is where this tablet is at its best.

The Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus continues to offer excellent battery life, strong Alexa integration and wireless charging, which I don’t think will seem important to most. Fire tablets need to soundly beat the competition in terms of value to keep up and, unfortunately, the HD 10 Plus fails to do so in a few core areas.

Offering plenty for your money, this is an almost-perfect tablet that can be made even better with a simple tweak.

As far as Amazon tablets go, the Fire HD 10 Plus is the cream of the crop. It's great for relaxing and watching movies, reading books, and listening to music. Just don't expect it to work too hard or compete with the very best Android tablets or iPads. It also absolutely requires Prime to reach its full potential, which undercuts the value a little.

At the end of my time using the Fire HD 10, I've come to the conclusion that this is a tablet that's better left to serve as an entertainment device, with the occasional email or document typed out on the keyboard.

The Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus doesn't really pack any surprises but by adding a few handy extras to the usual formula – including more RAM and wireless charging – it becomes even better value for money, and at this price its drawbacks aren't too difficult to live with.
